Medical Aesthetic companies develop new names for already established technologies often to try to make new sales. This is common in marketing.
At Skintegrity, we try to educate our patients on the type of energy/technology behind the brand names to make the process more understandable.
For example, Body contouring and fat reduction can be accomplished by many different methods such as heating the tissue (Radio Frequency used in dozens of devices) Ultrasound (such as HIFU and Ultherapy etc) freezing the tissue (Cryotherapies such as Cool Sculpting) or HIFEM (High Intensity focused electro magnetics such as Emsculpt, D Power Sculpt etc) and each company will call similar energies a different name to set themselves apart from others when, in fact, if the energy is the same, the results will be the same when administered correctly. One great example is that "fractional skin resurfacing" is usually delivered by a 2940 Erbium Yag laser. However, this laser technology is called many different names by different companies such as; Pixel, Fraxel, Dermablate etc) Yes, Skintegrity uses the top of the line technologies (our ER yag 2940 is the Alma laser from Israel and our RF is the Venus Concept etc) but again, the energies are consistent with others with different names.
There are exceptions such as our new Clarion Beauty Booster micro needling gun with Redensity 1 injectable and our Clear Lift Pixel which delivers fractional skin resurfacing with no side effects on the surface of the skin or our Oxygeneo facial device which is unique so far in the field but to keep things as simple as possible, most of our terminology will focus in the energy used and not the less meaningful "brand name" of the company who sold the device.
Also, in order to allow you to make your decisions based on the technology that is best for your unique challenges instead of pricing, Skintegrity keeps the prices for technologies that are used to accomplish the same goals very close. For example, if you need fat reduction on your stomach - no matter if you choose for example between Radio Frequency, Ultrasound, Cryo Freezing or High Intensity Focused Electro Magnetics the price will be between $1400 - $1800 for the entire umber of sessions required. If you need full face skin resurfacing you can chose between RF micro needling, Erbium Yag Fractional or CO2 for the same price of $499 for full face. This way you can focus on your results desired and not on the price differences between technologies.
